Sum, Sum, Summer Fun & The 4th!!!

We had a little backyard swim party today and a few of Payce's buddies came over to play. It was such a blast and all four kiddos enjoyed the water. So sweet that these babies get to grow up together and be friends. We love them all!

Tristan is such a ham these days! He will look for the camera and say "cheese" with this big grin! We enjoyed having him here for the 4th, and you too Steph!

Last 4th of July Payce was 2 weeks and 2 days old. Our first major outing was to The 4th On Broadway Parade. We were there again this year and Payce was very interested in the floats and all the activity during the parade. I love the 4th and all that comes with it, even the hot weather! We made it to several parties this year and got to celebrate our countries freedom with lots of family and friends.

A car in the parade had TEXAS LONGHORNS on it's sign. Zach gave a hook em' horns and Payce copied him. Too cute!

A bit of history...
One of Lubbock's great historical museums is the National Ranching Heritage Center. in 1975, my Papaw, Dad, and other family house movers moved the historical Barton House from Bartonsite to the museum. The house was built in 1909 by the Barton family. This past weekend, the NRHC celebrated the centennial of the Barton House and honored the Barton family with a reception. My Papaw and Dad were recoginized and able to share information about the moving of the house to the current location. My Dad has helped move one other structure to the museum and my Papaw has moved many of the historical structures there. What a fun and educational day!

A new trick? I guess two hands aren't enough :)
