Happy Birthday Payce!

Payce turned 1 on the 18th! It is hard to believe a year can go by so fast. We are very blessed to have this beautiful, healthy, and sweet baby boy. We can not imagine life without him and have enjoyed every moment.

To celebrate, Payce started off his actual birthday with some of Daddy's famous pancakes. Zach is the pancake maker in our house. He has made it into an art that I can not compete with. Each pancake is the same size, shape, and color, and they do not require a knife to cut ;) Payce loved his pancake with banana and strawberries! Zach took off work to be home with us and to help with a few birthday party preparations. Cari and Tyler came by to bring Payce a few gifts and balloons. He was way excited about the balloons and they kept him busy for hours that day. That evening we ate dinner and Payce enjoyed his first cupcake. He dug in like he had been eating them the whole year.

Saturday was the big PARTY! We had worked on our back yard for about a month preparing to have Payce's bash outside. It rained all Friday night and Saturday morning. We were nervous that the party plans would have to change and move inside. Around noon the sun came out and the rain stopped. We could not have had a more beautiful day! The earlier rain kept the day fairly mild and the mosquitoes stayed away. It was perfect!!! Payce did well eating his cake and opening gifts. He had only one nap and was exhausted that evening. Thanks family and friends who came and helped, and thanks for helping make this end of a year and beginning of a new so special. Our Baby is 1!!!
