So my excuse for not posting sooner is that our SEAGATE brand external hard drive crashed!!! I mention the brand for you to BEWARE! It was only one year old and had all my pictures on it. The company is not very flexible to work with and will not help retrieve our lost data. It is very expensive to have this done elsewhere. Lesson learned for me... burn all your pics on cd and never buy Seagate (seems harsh but I am burned by their lack of care and customer service). Hopefully the company we sent the broken drive to can save my pics and my sanity.
It is hard to believe summer is on the way out and the anticipation of fall is exciting. Payce had just started walking at my last post and as summer ends, he is almost running! It is true that you sit a lot less but seem to also get less done. He has a very cute personality and much like his daddy which makes me so happy. He is often quiet and reserved in a new setting and warms up slowly. He is a thinker and really focuses on whatever it is he is doing. He loves to cuddle and likes to be with his mommy and daddy both at the same time. I think he would prefer the three of us be home together 24/7. Payce also likes to "go" as we say when we are getting in the car to leave but enjoys coming home to his toys. He would live outside if the mosquitoes would not carry him off. That too he gets from his daddy, mosquito magnet! His vocabulary is growing every day and he has begun to put two words together. He is a little more particular about what he eats and drinks these days but still a great eater. We have made a little progress on Zach's "media room" by installing a floor. Payce wanted to help with every step and even banged on things with his plastic hammer. It is surprising what he observes and is able to repeat.
Last week we took a 4 day trip to Santa Fe, NM for vacation. We enjoyed being away and spending time with Payce together. Santa Fe is beautiful and we will visit again soon! On our way home we stayed with some friends at their little ranch. It was a fun, scorpion filled experience :) (we only saw one but I was a little dramatic and nervous). Really, we had a blast and the boys loved playing together.

See the matching red bumps on their foreheads... this is what happens when you play with Zach :)
